ACE: Augmented Cities and Environments
 
   


is a project aimed at exploring the use of new digital methods for navigating and distributing information on the history and culture of European cities in a variety of media and genres, with the following objectives:

- To facilitate public access to source materials and thereby encourage wide appreciation of the depth and diversity of European culture

- To provide new tools and facilities for tourism and heritage management

- To encourage comparison between the cities of Europe

- To contribute to educational programmes

- To facilitate research across disciplinary and territorial boundaries, to be undertaken by the public at large as well as by scholars.
