In the cultural diversity that is Europe, an integrating
initiative needs to preserve initiatives and resources at
local, regional and national levels.
E-Culture Net fosters networks at the country level that
can serve as gateways linking local, regional, national and
European dimensions. The state of these country level initiatives
differs, as do the approaches taken. Thus far Spain, Portugal
and Scandinavia have created preliminary websites in their
countries.
